Youth Congress national secretary Mathew Kuzhanadan demanded here on Tuesday that a Vigilance probe should be conducted on the health survey conducted by a foreign agency.
He alleged that the survey was mysterious as data collection of patients including personal information were collected by the Canadian agency violating norms.
The preliminary steps for the Health survey for Population Health Research Institute, a Canadian agency, was started in 2008. Later, an agreement for the survey was signed on July 2013. Other than the State Government and the foreign agency, a Thiruvananthapuram-based NGO named Health Action by People was involved in this project.
Mathew alleged that the data collection had been done even before the official agreement. ‘’The representative of the State Government was the secretary of that NGO also. There is evidence that the NGO had relation with the same Canadian agency, even before the survey plan’’ Mathew alleged.
