Permanent Venue in City from Today

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: HLL Lifecare Limited’s Sargam Auditorium in Peroorkada will now be a permanent venue in the state capital for the Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Akademi’s cultural programmes.

Actor Madhu will formally inaugurate the new cultural venue on Friday at 6.30 pm at a ceremony presided over by HLL chairman and managing director Dr M Ayyappan, with Akademi Chairman Soorya Krishnamoorthy as the chief guest.

Acclaimed Chinese film ‘Getting Home’ will be screened after the ceremony on Friday as the first of the scheduled monthly activities of the Akademi. The Sargam auditorium will host cultural programmes every third Saturday of the month from 6 pm. Film screenings and ‘Kathaprasangam’ recitals will be organized initially and the Akademi will gradually include other events in the schedule. All monthly cultural events at Sargam will be open to the public.
