THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The body of Army jawan Arun S Nair, who died in an accident on the Siachen Glacier, will be cremated at his residence ‘Chandrika Bhavan’ at Chozhiyakkode, near Kulathoopuzha, on Monday. At the time of filing this report, Arun’s body was to be brought here on a 11 pm-flight from New Delhi.
According to his family, Arun, a Lance Naik with MEG, fell to his death after an aerial cable snapped. He had been in the army for 10 years and leaves behind wife Kala, mother Chandrika Amma, brother Anoop and sister Anuja. His father Sreedhara Pillai, a former army man, is no more. Anoop also is in the army.
