THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Air Chief Marshal Arup Raha, Chief of the Air Staff, will arrive here on a two-day visit to the Southern Air Command (SAC), Akkulam, on Thursday.
This is Raha’s first visit to the city after taking over command of the Indian Air Force as Chief of Air Staff on January 1 this year.
During his two-day visit, the Chief will preside over the Commanders’ conference of all the Air Force units in the southern region.
The Chief of the Air Staff will also interact with the personnel of command. Raha will be accompanied by his wife, Lily Raha, who is president, Air Force Wives Welfare Association (AFWWA). Air Marshal A P Garud, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, SAC, would receive the Air Chief at the airport. On his arrival, Raha would be presented a Guard of Honour by an Air Force contingent.
