‘Sneha Dhara’ Tomorrow

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Mahila Mandiram in the city is celebrating the culmination of this summer in a colourful way by arranging a pre-monsoon festival named ‘Sneha Dhara’ on Saturday.

The highlight of whole day event is an exhibition-cum-sale of handicrafts made by the residents.

The event will be inaugurated by chief general manager of State Bank of Travancore Hari Kumar. Actor Sreelakshmi will conduct the first sale.

 This event is also meant as a fund-raiser for the educational activities of Mahila Mandiram. A vegetarian food festival is arranged at noon with delectable dishes at reasonable prices.

 The valedictory function of the programme will be inaugurated by M Ayyappan, CMD, Hindustan Lifecare Limited.  Playback singer G Venugopal will be the chief guest.

He will lead a music programme along with the musical team of his charity organisation, Sasneham.

The performing artistes of Mahila Mandiram will showcase a dance and music programmes and a skit which was prepared during the theatre workshop led by Abhinaya group.
