Investment Tracking Mechanism Launched

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The website on the investment tracking mechanism in Kerala was launched here on Thursday.

Inaugurating the function organised by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) in association with Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation limited (KSIDC), Chief Secretary E K Bharat Bhushan said that the tracking mechanism from the Central cabinet Secretariat will become a milestone in the case of Kerala State.

‘’Many tracking mechanisms were implemented earlier. But this tool will be a major milestone in this sector,’’ the Chief secretary said. He added that this mechanism will be used very well to make it more effective.

This online project was developed by the Cabinet Committee on Investment (CCI) of the Central Cabinet Secretariat, Government of India. This project is implemented to facilitate, review and fast track the progress of all mega projects in the country. The State Governments can submit the details of the mega projects to CCI, to resolving the inherent issues that impact their implementation and to track down the status of those projects. Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation (KSIDC) is the nodal agency of this programme in Kerala.

‘State-level investment tracking mechanism’ was presented by Dr Shubhag Chand, HOD of the Cabinet Secretariat Informatics Division (CSID).

KSIDC managing director Aruna Sundararajan, Cabinet secretariat Additional secretary Anil Swarup, Honorary secretary of Thiruvananthapuram Chamber of Commerce and Industry S N Raghuchandran Nair, Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry vice-president Raj Kumar Gupta, Kerala Chamber of Commerce and Industry - Southern region president T C Paul and FICCI Kerala State council head Savio Mathew were present.
