THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Solar scam accused Saritha S Nair was granted more time on Thursday to file her statement on her complaint of sexual harassment allegations against A P Abdullakutty MLA. This is the fifth time that she has been avoiding appearing before the Judicial First-Class Magistrate Court-II to depose on the complaint.
The court on Thursday gave more time after she submitted medical reports in the court. In the application, Saritha said that she was advised compulsory rest for two days. It was only on Wednesday that she was discharged from the hospital where she was admitted for chest pain.
The Magistrate had last week issued an ultimatum to Saritha to appear before it on May 29. Though she was present on the court premises on May 22, she did not appear before the court on time after which the magistrate had deferred the sitting and told to appear on May 29.
