THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala has wrote to heads of various commercial banks in the state to hike the upper limit of the special loan scheme for blade mafia victims to Rs one lakh.
A sub-committee of the State Level Bankers’ Committee (SLBC) had informed the government that the banks were ready to give a maximum of Rs 50,000 through the scheme.
