NCC Girls Take out Cycle Rally

Twenty-five cadets of 1 Kerala Girls Battalion NCC, Thiruvananthapuram, took out a cycle rally on Friday to mark the World No Tobacco Day which falls on May 31.

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Twenty-five cadets of 1 Kerala Girls Battalion NCC, Thiruvananthapuram, took out a cycle rally on Friday to mark the World No Tobacco Day which falls on May 31. The rally covered a distance of 5 km. The cadets held aloft placards on the ill-effects of smoking and tobacco to create awareness among the public.

 The rally was flagged off by Capt Gugamalathy, Officiating Officer Commanding, 1 Kerala Girls Battalion NCC. The cadets were told about the ill-effects of smoking and were urged to avoid passive smoking.
