Rights Bodies Plan Indefinite Stir at Aruvikkara

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: People who were denied justice will move to Aruvikkara on Wednesday. Apart from resorting to fast, Many organisations such as Justice Krishna Iyer Movement and Kerala advocate council for human rights protection an indefinite strike will also be held at Aruvikkara.

People who have been denied justice along with their relatives will participate in the fast. They said that it has been three years, since Baburaj who was the district judge of Alappuzha died under mysterious circumstances.

“So far, nothing has been done. The Crime Branch investigation into the death of Kollam native Chithara native has reached nowhere. Benny Devassia of Palakkad was shot dead mysteriously in Mukkali. The investigation remains farce. Similarly, though Kerala High Court has asked to give ‘pattayam’ to the Valiyazheekal natives of Harippad, the government is yet to give it to them,” they said. The organisers said that open seminars will be held at Aruvikkara to make voters aware of many things. People who have been denied justice along with their relatives will participate in the fast.
