THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: In an incident that left the Mangalapuram police red-faced, the key of the official jeep parked inside the police station premises was stolen, forcing them to rely on private vehicles for official chores.
The incident happened on Saturday night when a group of people reached the station demanding the bail of two persons detained for drunken driving. “As the officials, including the station house officer, put down their demand, the group threatened the officers and took the key of the jeep and fled from the spot.
