THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:The Medical College Police arrested a person who allegedly sold liquor at a mini-bar at his house on the beachside.
The accused was identified as Linin, alias Sasi, 52, of Thaivilakam House, Valiyaveli, Poundkadavu. According to police, Linin served liquor to his ‘customers’ who were given seats in front of his sea-facing house. He was arrested on Wednesday when there was a rush to his house as the Beverages Corporation outlets were closed on account of April 1.
The arrest followed a tip-off to Shangumugham Assistant Commissioner Jawahar Janardh. The investigation team led by Medical College Circle Inspector Sheen Tharayil included Thumba Sub Inspector Jayasanal, Crime SI Chandran, CPOs Manu and Rajesh.
