THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The silver jubilee celebrations of Technopark will resume with a screening of short films and a ghazal evening with singer Padmakumar at Technopark here on Monday. Chief Minister Oommen Chandy will address the technology hub during a function on August 5.
On August 3, distribution of prizes for the short film contest titled ‘Lights Camera Action’ conducted by Prathidhwani, a socio-cultural forum of Technopark employees, will be followed by the screening of the short films and the ghazal event.
An inter-company dance competition titled ‘TARANG’ will also be held in association with Natana, the cultural club of Technopark, from 6 pm at the Technopark Amphitheatre on Tuesday, the following day.
Prizes for different contests organised earlier as part of the celebrations will also be distributed on the occasion.
An in-house event by music band Masala Coffee will be held from 8 pm. Chandy will inaugurate the valedictory function of the silver jubilee celebrations on Wednesday at the amphitheater.
Ministers,including IT Minister P K Kunhalikutty, and other dignitaries will also be present.
Chief Minister is also expected to honour Technopark’s formative team during the function.
This will be followed by a live performance by music band Thaikkudam Bridge from 7.15 pm. Both the events of the day will be open to the public.
