If shopping for designer clothes features in your to-do list this festival season, head to Abad Plaza where there is a exhibition and sale of clothes from Aakaara going on.
Aakaara, a boutique at TD Road, has put on display a wide varieties of garments that include handloom saris, trendy churidars, duppattas, semi-stitched salwars, long kurtis besides garments that have intricate embroidery work.Another highlight of the exhibition is that it also includes the collections of Delhi-based designer Vishal Kapur. Kapur has a leading online shopping store that features extensive collections in saris, suite, stoles and kurtis.
“The highlight of the expo is the printed duppattas and suits of Vishal Kapur. We have two sections, one is hand-woven that includes saris and dress materials woven by the craftsman of Madhya Pradesh and other is the ready-to-wear clothes that include tops, trendy kurtis and long flowing tops,” says Prabha Varma, owner of Aakaara. She adds that another highlight is specially-embroidered collections from Aakaara.The exhibition will run today also.
