Case against 41 Ration Shops

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A special squad from the Commissionerate of Civil Supplies found irregularities in a week-long search in Thiruvananthapuram. Cases have been registered against 41 ration shops and two wholesale rice depots. Raids in the open market led the squad to register cases against 11 hotels, 23 vegetable shops, 4 bakeries, 26 grocery stores and a petrol pump.  A report has been submitted to the Collector. The raids were led by Kollam Taluk Supply Officer (TSO) V K Thomas and Kunnathur TSO K Thankachan.
