'Student Police Have a Role to Help Minor Drug Addicts Recover'

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Student Police Cadet project is organising a three-day Onam camp for cadets of Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Ambalamukku. City Police Commissioner H Venkatesh inaugurated the camp.

Venkatesh, in his inaugural address, urged the students to desist from the use of intoxicants. “The cadets should try to bring students addicted by drugs back to normal life. The SPC has a major role in shaping up a promising future for the student community,” he said.

Cantonment assistant commissioner Suresh Kumar, Peroorkada circle inspector Suresh Babu, sub-inspector V Saijunath, headmistress Mini, senior assistant Salil Kumar, teachers Suja Thomas, Shanawas, detective inspectors Sreekumar, Vimal and Sangeetha attended.
