KV Pattoms' Golden Jubilee Celebrations to Conclude Tomorrow

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kendriya Vidyalaya, Pattom, is winding up it’s year-long Golden Jubilee celebrations on Tuesday with an elaborate ceremony at the school.

The event, held to mark the culmination of the celebrations, will be inaugurated by S Selvaraj, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan Deputy Commissioner, Ernakulam region. The half day event will also have cultural programmes presented by students, as the school is also organising it’s annual function on the occasion.

Jalaja Kumari, a former KV faculty and primary section HM, who was recently selected for the best national teacher award by the government, will be honoured on the occasion. Civil Service rank holder Asha Ajith will be felicitated along with Arjun, former KV student and second rank holder in CBSE XII exams this year. Prizes will also be distributed to the winners of the inter-school quiz competition, girls basketball tournament and debate competitions held in connection with the jubilee celebrations.

The school had organised a variety of activities as part of it’s jubilee celebrations during the academic year 2014-15. The events included literary events, a photography exhibition showcasing significant frames taken throughout the history of the school and initiating a programme to equip the school library with e-readers. Several inter-school competitions and sports activities were also held.
