THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Pettah police on Tuesday arrested a 37-year-old man in connection with a bomb hurling case which occurred last month. The accused has been identified as Sajeer, a resident of Vinayaka Nagar, Kochuveli.
According to the police, the accused was part of a gang which hurled the country bomb at one Akhil, 25 of the same colony owing to personal vengeance. The accused was accompanied by Anil kumar alias Jango Kumar, a notorious goon, at the time of the attack.
Jango Kumar surrendered before the court last week. Sajeer was later produced before the court and remanded in judicial custody, the police said.
