THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Opposition Leader V S Achuthanandan on Wednesday handed over Khadi clothes to GKSF as part of “Avarkayi Namukku Vangam” (Shopping for Others) programme, a scheme to help the destitute.
Tourism Minister A P Anil Kumar received the clothes from the Opposition Leader at his residence. The Governor and the Chief Minister have already bought gifts for others as part of the programme.
Handing over the gift, Achuthanandan hoped that everyone would cooperate with the programme that would help poor. Anil Kumar said that it was glorious moment that the Opposition Leader had become part of the scheme. GKSF director Anil Muhammed and state coordinator V VIjayan were present.
