CM’s Awards for new entrepreneurs

The Chief Minister’s Awards for the new entrepreneurs in the service sector for 2015 and State e-governance Awards for 2014-15 have been announced.

 THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Chief Minister’s Awards for the new entrepreneurs in the service sector for 2015 and State e-governance Awards for 2014-15 have been announced.


And the awards will be presented by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan at a  function to be held at the Durbar Hall of the Secretariat  at  5pm on Monday. The awards carry a cash purse of `5 lakh and certificate.
The awards for excellence in service in the four  categories-- government departments, local self-governments(LSG) and non-government organisations(NGO) will be given in four categories.


 In the personnel management category Malabar Cancer Centre(MCC), Kannur bagged the award. It were the indepth training programme for staff and the exhaustive recruitment which fetched the award for the MCC.


Mahila Samakhya Society  which runs  the Nirbhaya Shelter Home and Kerala Suchithwa Mission bagged the award in the  Public Service  Delivery  category. Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) Kerala centre walked away with the award in the Procedural  Interventions section. 


In the case of the Kerala Suchitwa Mission, the green protocol for waste disposal helped it to bag the award. And TISS won the award for its role in conducting the social audit in the selected Anganwadis under the  Social Justice Department. 


It was a jury comprising  Additional Chief Secretaries  K M Abraham and  Paul Antony; Principal Secretary T K Jose; K P Kannan, Centre for Development Studies(CDS) and Institute of Management in Government(IMG) director Satyajeet Rajan which  selected the awardees. 


The awards include those for E-Governance leader, E-citizen service delivery,  E-governance, e-learning, Local language content  development,  Best website, Akshaya centres,  and e-governance district.
