Workshop on humanities gets under way

 In an effort to promote education in humanities at the school level, a two-day workshop titled ‘Manavikam-2018- A bridge to the future’ was launched at the Government Model Girls HSS at Pattom here on Monday. 

TIRUVANANTHAPURAM :    In an effort to promote education in humanities at the school level, a two-day workshop titled ‘Manavikam-2018- A bridge to the future’ was launched at the Government Model Girls HSS at Pattom here on Monday. According to N Retnakumar, principal, the workshop is aimed at bridging the gap between teachers and students. “The students will be able to grasp humanities better after the workship.  The two-day session will also help  familiarise students  with the subject. Moreover, it is an occasion to meet the subject experts. This is the second time we are organising it following the success of the first edition,” he said.

The seminar is being organised on the occasion of  the World Population Day to be held on Wednesday. Biju Lakshmanan, Director General, Institute of Parliamentary Affairs  inaugurated the workshop and several experts held career guidance classes and orientation programme. A special ‘Aspirants’ micro library’ has been readied at the school’s humanities’ block.
