Kyoorius awards for pro and student designers

Kyoorius, a nonprofit initiative by Transasia Fine Papers in association with D&AD (a design form headquarted in London) and International Advertising Association (India chapter), would be awarded from this year. Edex caught up with Rajesh Kejriwal, founder-CEO, for more. “Kyoorius Awards honours outstanding creative work in the Indian visual communications sphere and is open to both professionals and students. The work submitted to Kyoorius Awards must be published in response to a real brief by a real client,” begins Kejriwal.

Each brief will contain a list of key elements and the final result of the exercise. The jury would look for original and inspiring ideas, that are well-executed and if your work is relevant to the context, informs Kejriwal.

Besides a trophy, the winners in the professional category will win a free entry to D&AD awards for next year. The student category winners will be richer by Rs 50,000 and of course, bag a trophy and free pass to the 2014 edition of Kyoorius Designyatra. Apply by July 2 at www.awards.kyoorius.com/how-to-enter. There is no application fee. The winners will be announced on August 29 at the ninth annual Kyoorius Designyatra, which is scheduled to be held in Goa.
