GATE 2014 All India Toppers from Silicon

Two students from the Silicon Institute of Technology (SIT), Bhubaneswar, have won laurels for the college after topping the this year’s national level Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) in their streams held during February 2014. The results for GATE 2014 were released by IIT-Kharagpur, the organising committee, on March 27. Abinash Das, from the Electronics and Telecommunication branch and has secured an All India Rank (AIR) 3 with a GATE score of 1000 amongst 2,16,367 candidates who appeared in Electronics and Communication Engineering (EC). Srikant Singh, from Applied Electronics and Instrumentation branch secured an All India Rank (AIR) 19 with a GATE score of 842. This is a testimony to the fact that students from SIT have been consistently performing well in GATE.
