Kingston makes parents proud with their unique way of celebrating

Kingston Engineering College, Vellore, celebrated its third placement day with much grandeur. College Chairman DM Kathir Anand and Principal G Baskar presided over the function and presented their achievements in the annual report. The highlight of the occasion was the issuing of placement offers to 207 students by their parents, a tradition at Kingston since its inception. Out of this, 23 students received multiple offers from companies like Infosys, TCS, Wipro, HCL, JK Tyres, Accenture, Voltech, CSC, CSS Corp, Boston, Bosch and Sutherland. 186 class toppers in the Anna university examinations in the previous 2 semesters were awarded cash prizes. More than 82 faculty members who scored 90 per cent and above in the University exams were also awarded cash prizes. Best project award for department automation software was awarded to ME student Ashok Kumar P and best department in terms of academic excellence was awarded to the Department of Mechanical Engineering. Former PWD minister Durai Murugan and Chairman DM Kathir Anand joined the parents in wishing the students the best.
