Engaging With Employees Made Easier

Mobcast Solutions mobile app ensures that its employees are informed about the happenings in their company

Mobcast solutions, a mobile app for employee engagement and training, enables a company to broadcast its content like product presentations, management videos, event invites, news and announcements to its employees at the click of a button. Founded by Ashwin Roy Choudhary and Anup Burade, both in their 30s, Mobcast’s clients include SBI Life, Shoppers Stop, Sanofi, Cipla and Filmfare of the Times of India Group among others.

During the recent elections, the Nationalist Congress Party, Maharashtra, used Mobcast to engage with their 10,000 plus karyakartas with over 1,300 contents distributed on the mobile app in Marathi.

With this app a company can ensure that its employees are fully aware of the happenings and forward important news. Ashwin worked as a Sales and Business Development guy in various companies like Directi, IBM and MoFirst after his MBA in Marketing from Thakur Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai. Anup worked in an operations role in Sutherland Global Services, a BPO in Mumbai, after dropping out of college from Nagpur University.

Mobcast Solutions was started on January 2 last year with money from its founders. With more than 32 employees on its payroll, the platform supports delivery of content on all devices. Users  will get an immediate notification of any content sent by the company. Even people without the app will get an SMS that has a summary of the content with a link that will take the user to a responsive WAP site where the user could read the entire document. Since it is an enterprise solution, security is a must and Mobcast has made sure that there are no letdowns on this front. Ashwin says,“We have a two-factor log in system, the content can be read only with the mobile app and if an employee leaves the company, there is an option to remotely wipe all the data from the user’s application. “There is no option to take a screenshot  on the app,” he says.

“We charge the enterprise on per user or a per month basis. Mobcast is also planning to start a Management Chat and Live Video. A platform for employees to collate, vote and rank ideas from the employees is also being created,” says Anup. Mobcast wants to ‘gamify’ the entire user experience to make them stay on the platform for a long time.

Having provided services across the globe, Mobcast recently won the Emerging Company of 2015 Award at the Telecom Leadership Forum held in New Delhi.
