Russian education fair

Nine Russian Government institutions including Medical and Engineering universities are participating in an education fair to be held on May 9 and 10 at the Russian Cultural Centre, Chennai. The education fair will be open from 10 am to 5 pm on both days. Entry is free. Students furnishing Class XII mark sheets will be given spot admission. Volgograd State Medical University, Kazan State Medical University, Tver State Medical University, Kazan Federal University, Russian International Olympic University, URAL Federal University, Far Eastern Federal University, Southern Ural State University and People’s Friendship University are the participating universities. Nanyang Institute of Management, Singapore, invites applications for its July intake of Diploma in Construction Engineering and Postgraduate Diploma in Tourism (24-months, full-time) and Hospitality Management. BA in urban planning

Newcastle University, UK, invites applications for its BA in Urban Planning. The course exposes students to a host of topics such as design awareness and environmental sustainability, coupled with a range of field trips and projects to see planning in action. Green talents award

The German Federal Ministry of Education and Research invites applications for its green talents award 2015. This year’s theme is City of the Future and the competition requires you to come up with sustainable development solutions. Winners will have a two-week all expenses paid trip to a science forum in Germany. Apply by June 2. Details at www.greentalents.de.

Summer school

The School of Business and Economics at UK’s Loughborough University is inviting students to apply for its International Summer School. The two-week long Summer School will be held from July 11 to 25 and will explore how the worlds of sport, the community and social enterprise are interlinked in an top-level learning environment.
