The MHRD’s ranking of colleges in the country threw up quite a few surprises. IISC, Bengaluru expectedly attained the top position, followed by Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai. The presence of JNU and Hyderabad University in the top 10 proved that the recent negative publicity that they received hasn’t tarnished their image. Among engineering institutes, the IITs expectedly took up all 10 positions, with IIT-Madras bagging the numero uno position.
