How far can an Atom go in making you learn essential elements of Science? Pretty far, if it’s from smart tutorial provider HashLearn.
Students appearing for various entrance tests for admissions to engineering courses now have the option of benefiting from an online tutorial taught by tutors from top institutes such as the IITs, BITS and the AIIMS.
HashLearn, a Bangalore-based education technology start-up has launched a new service called the ‘Atom’. This app helps students learn concepts in the environs of their home without having to travel to tutorial centres. The services are priced at `30 for a twenty-minute session. The student can log-in any time as the tutorials are available 24/7.
They can make use of the ap for tutorials for Physics, Chemistry, Math and Biology for entrance tests such as the JEE Mains, CET and NEET. Not just this, they can also use it to make learning for their school exams easier.
According to Jayadev Gopalakrishnan, co-founder of HashLearn, it can be bought in different “packs” depending on the number of sessions a student wishes to subscribe to. The student can also pay for the service through their mobile operators, enabling the mobile service provider to deduct the amount from the prepaid balance or add it to the postpaid bill.
“Only 20 percent of the tutoring market is organized in India. The vast majority cannot access high-quality tutoring owing to tuition costs or location constraints. Even for students from urban markets, they grapple with issues like lack of personalized attention and the lack of authentic help,” Gopalakrishnan added.
