CEOs get set to chill in the Himalayas

They’re going into the wild! EnTRIPreneur takes networking sessions away from corporate boardrooms into the Himalayas.
CEOs get set to chill in the Himalayas

When you’re the boss, you’re probably not used to listening to others, or taking orders, for that matter. But come June 23, and that’s exactly what is going to happen when start-up networking initiative EnTRIPreneur takes 15 CEOs on a four-day trip to a remote village in the Himalayas — so that they can network and bond, away from the boardroom. Or a banquet hall in a swanky five-star hotel. EnTRIPreneur (pronounced entrepreneur), was formed by Anuj Agarwal, Jahnvi Sharma, Swapnil Soni and Rachna Ghiya and is an unconventional travel and networking initiative.

The whole point is getting CEO’s and young start-up founders to connect in a setting that isn’t conventional, “Whenever you go to an expo or a conference, you just exchange your visiting cards. You don’t establish a connection where you can call each other your friend. We thought, why not create a platform where they can connect with new people,” says Jahnvi, who is an avid traveler herself.

The team is also excited about the activities they have planned for the group. “We have trekking, yoga, rafting, bonfire and a whole pack of activities planned to make them feel as warm as possible,” says Jahnvi. “They will also be given a chance to interact with the locals. This will help them understand the problems that the people in those remote areas face,” she says.

In fact, most of them still don’t know where within the mystic Doon valley in Uttarakhand, they’re going to end up at.  “The selection will be done on the basis of how they filled their application forms and their performance in the interview,” says Anuj. Prior to the trip which kicks off from Delhi, there will be an icebreaking session for the travelers to get to know each other.
