Vel Tech Technical University Celebrates Sixth Convocation

Vel Tech Technical University organised their sixth convocation recently, as part of which almost 700 students including undergraduates, post graduates and doctoral fellows were conferred degrees in a function held at the university campus. Padma Shri Dr Sekhar Basu, Chairman, Atomic Energy Commission & Secretary Department of Atomic Energy Government of India, gave away the Gold medals and cash awards to the rank holders and distributed the Certificates to the graduating students. Study Chair on Banking at GITAM

Arun Tiwari, chairman and managing director of Union Bank of India visited GITAM University, Vishakapatnam, along with bank officials and accepted the proposal made by the university authorities to establish a study chair on banking and finance in the campus. The bank chairman also inaugurated the girls hostel Nirmala Sadan along with GITAM President MVVS Murhti. He delivered distinguished CEO lecture on “Role of Banking Sector in Economic Development” and accepted the proposal to establish a research study chair in GITAM University. He pledged  support for GITAM Center for Gandhian studies

Orientation Session  in Mathematics

Azim Premji University and Ramanujan Mathematical Society (RMS), jointly with Parikrma Foundation, have announced an orientation programme for Mathematics teachers of class 9 to 12 at Bangalore on June 16 and 17. Each session will witness participation from around fifty teachers from neighbouring schools in the city. Two teachers from each school can participate in the programme. Seats are allotted on a first come first served basis. There is no registration fee. The workshops will be held at the Adobe Saraswathi Parikrma Centre for Learning, Jayanagar, Bangalore. The main objective of the workshop is to provide a platform for teachers from across the country to share and advance their knowledge and experience in the subject. IIM-A Hosts Conclave on Learning and Development

Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad, organised a one-day HR Conclave for sharing perspectives on learning and development. The conclave was designed for HR heads and leaders in the corporate sector, government, startups and other organisations. The focus helped identify the needs, approaches and challenges in learning and development across various sectors. During the inaugural address, Prof. Ashish Nanda, Director, IIMA said, “A well-advanced training is required in today’s millennial organizations. We at IIM-A identify the needs of the Executive learning and design the excellent training program.”
