Flytta Helps

Being on the move is the mantra of successful people. Going by stats, about thirty five per cent makes for the relocating population of India  – approximately 40 crore annually. Shifting base could seem a troublesome proposition, especially in certain professions where one is forced to move every six months, but not anymore because Flytta provides all the services to migrate with ease.

Flytta, which means relocate in Swedish, was started after a group of students from Hindustan University in Chennai were moved by the harrowing tales of relocation they heard from two school kids. “People who relocate from one place to another have to go through a huge ordeal. Finding a house to a hospital could be pretty challenging in an alien city. The mashup assists them with all information on housing, packers and movers, schools, colleges, hospitals, telecom, food and groceries,” says, Rahul Kanuganti, Chief Operating Officer.

The mashup, officially launched in February this year, provides a range of services varying from student and family to pet relocation, and has been used quite a bit. “As of now, Chennai tops the list with maximum relocation requests followed by Bengaluru and Kolkata,” says Gokulavasan Murali, Chief Technology Officer. Currently, Flytta serves 31 tier one and tier two cities in India including over 6,000 areas.

The mashup reads the information that users provide on the online portal including origin, destination, place, number of people, age and profession. “Besides studying migration patterns and strategies to provide smarter solutions, we provide a friendly interface. Each customer is different and that makes it a real tough job to create a platform,” says Anu S Menon, Migration Analyst.
