Career guidance tests were there in the market for a very long time but there is a more inclusive test now, ‘My Choice My Future(MCMF)’. Pearson Academy India launched an online personality assessment solutions for career guidance in a six various languages including Hindi, Bengali, Tamil, Kannada, Telugu and Malayalam.

“Every other programme in the market is in English, so when you look at the assessment of the people brought up speaking the regional language or a population that isn’t given the same exposure to English as the urban sector, it can’t be accurate,” said Akshay Kumar, National Sales Head, Pearson Academy India.MCMF includes two parts, the first part is a 30 minute test which would determine the candidate’s talent, strenghts and interests.
The second part includes guidance from a professional who would be able to steer the candidate in the right direction.

The guidance is available through a wide spectrum of media, including Skype and email. But Akshay reminded that it’s always better to have a face-to-face conversation when it comes to counselling.
“It’s unlike any other test in the market. We extend our services to provide counselling also, which makes us stand apart” said Akshay Kumar.
Akshay also believes that the MCMF initiative is going to be of great help to rural communities.
He says, “Now, the government is coming up with a lot of initiatives which could connect more villages and rural areas of the country. That is when the initiatives like My Choice My Future will reach it’s full potential.”
