Steve Technologies, a start-up based in Technopark, Thiruvananthapuram has created i-app, a new mobile application that helps customers manage their insurance policies — be it life, health or general. Founder and CEO, Sajan Jacob, who has 15 years of experience working with various insurance companies, has used his expertise to create the app. It helps policy holders manage the servicing of premiums, give information on the latest news from the insurance sector, help new customers choose the best policy according to their requirements, etc. All these services are free of cost.

“Most websites act as aggregators of insurance products. i-app is an unbiased app that can help people avail of all the information on insurance plans, loans, and so on,” says Sajan. His 13-year-old son Steve, is a co-founder of the company.

A dedicated customer care facility has been set up at the Technopark campus to address the queries of users. “Through the app, customers can change their address and phone number linked to their policies, make secure payments, etc,” explains Sajan.

The app will have new features such as ‘profilor’ which helps customers manage their policies with a one-time authentication. There are also updates about the developments in the finance sector. The insurance planning tool has options such as protection, retirement, investment, and health.

i-app which is available in the Google Play Store, enables hassle-free payment of insurance premiums, track the performance of policies and funds, check tax liability, enquire about better health/retirement/investment plans, compare loans of various banks, and latest industry updates. The app already has 500 downloads with a 4.9 rating.
