Two Congress Leaders Booked for Clash During Election Rally

A clash today broke out between two Congress leaders and their supporters during an election rally of their South Delhi Lok Sabha candidate Ramesh Kumar.

Police has registered cases on the basis of complaints of Satbir Singh, who is also former Delhi Mayor, and Mahender Singh Choudhary.

The two leaders' got into a verbal argument at a rally in Mehrauli which turned violent. Things became worse when Singh and his supporters roughed up Choudhary's mother when she came to his rescue.

The police reached the spot and took the leaders to the police station. No arrests have been made so far.

Singh had defected from Congress to join BJP but later returned to its parent party at the behest of ex-MP Sajjan Kumar.
