Sonia Cancels Maharashtra Rallies, Citing Ill Health

Congress president Sonia Gandhi Sunday cancelled her one-day Maharashtra tour, citing health reasons.

The Congress party said Sonia Gandhi is unwell, but refused to disclose any details about her illness.

Sonia Gandhi was to address rallies in Mumbai, Dhule and Nandurbar.

While party vice president Rahul Gandhi along with Nationalist Congress Party chief Sharad Pawar will now address the Mumbai rally, actor-politician Raj Babbar and union Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad will address the other rallies on her behalf, according to Congress sources.
