HYDERABAD: Launching a scathing attack on the ruling party, AICC president Rahul Gandhi wondered how Rs 17,000 Cr surplus Telangana state ran into debt in the Telangana Rashtra Samithi(TRS) rule while chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao's son and minister KT Rama Rao's income rose by 400 percent.
While speaking at a public meeting at Kosgi in Kodangal constituency, Gandhi came down heavily on chief minister KCR and also prime minister Narendra Modi dubbing TRS as Telangana Rashtriya Sangh Pariwar.' It was only on Tuesday that prime minister Modi likened TRS to Congress and called the CM an apprentice of Congress.
"Congress gave Telangana to fulfil the dreams of 4 crore Telanganites and provide for 'Neellu Nidhulu Niyamakalu'. But KCR has betrayed Telangana people. KCR pushed a state with Rs 17000 Cr surplus into more than Rs 2 lakh crore debt. There is a Rs 60,000 debt on every person in Telangana. But KCR's son KTR's income rose by 400 per cent," he said, alleging that in the name of redesigning Pranahita Chevella Project alone, "KCR has pocketed Rs 40,000 Cr. Has usurped money even in Mission Bhagiratha and Mission Kakatiya schemes."
"Instead of giving jobs to one lakh youth, KCR gave 4 jobs to his family. These four people have looted the future of four crore Telangana people. KCR has looted Telangana for his family, friends and contractors. All the money looted by TRS is people's money. The wind blowing here is Congress wind. Congress wind will put an end to KCR's loot and bring Peoples Front government in Telangana," asserted Rahul Gandhi, cheering up people present at the massive public meeting, as Congress flags flew to the breezy winds.

Taking time out to speak on national politics Rahul said that TRS MPs have always supported BJP in the Parliament and TRS stands for Telangana Rashtriya Sangh Pariwar.
"While Congress fought against making changes to land acquisition bill in Parliament, TRS supported BJP. On all occasions, TRS has supported BJP. PM Modi is trying to divide India. But KCR is supporting him. TRS is not Telangana Rashtra Samithi but Telangana Rashtriya Sangh Pariwar. Either its TRS or MIM, their only motive is to back PM Modi. Congress will first defeat TRS in Telangana and BJP at Centre in 2019," vowed Rahul.
TJS chief Kodandram, who is also an alliance partner in Congress-led Praja Kutami, said that Kodangal has fought like Kodamasimham (lion) in Telangana movement. He alleged that KCR has redesigned irrigation projects only to fill contractors pockets and not to change people's fate. He rued, though Kodangal is near Krishna river, does not get its water.
Speaking earlier, TPCC chief Uttam Kumar Reddy expressed confidence that Peoples Front government will be sworn in on December 12. TPCC working president and local boy Revanth Reddy also spoke on the occasion.
