The blue-eyed boy, Roshan Basheer, fascinated everyone with his expressive eyes and grace in his debut Malayalam movie ‘Plus Two’, which was released a few years ago. And now, he is thrilled to be a part of Mohanlal’s latest film, 'Redwine', which is directed by Salam Palapetty.

A native of Kozhikode and now settled in Kochi, Rohan will be essaying a prominent role.“It is all unexpected and I feel lucky to act with Mohanlal Sir,” he says.“I am playing a pop singer who is influenced by the great musician Bob Marley”

Within a span of a few years Roshan has managed to bag different roles in the Malayalam film industry. He has acted in Rajasenan's ‘Innaanu Aa Kalyanam’ and 'Banking Hours'.

And he is all set to test his luck in M-town for the fifth time: his film, ‘Tourist Home’, directed by Shebi, will reach theatres in January.‘Tourist Home’ is a drama that depicts the life of various people who live in 10 different rooms of a tourist home.Interestingly, ten writers came together to tell tales of thrifty characters during the course of a single day.Roshan is paired with Meera Nandan.“I will be playing a college guy called Vinod,” he says.“It is a good time for me. He recalls that his entry into the film industry was unexpected. When he was waiting for his Plus Two results, director Shebi told Roshan's father, Kalanthan Basheer, an actor, that he would like Roshan to play a role in his teenage love story, 'Plus Two'. Kalanthan kept this as a secret from Roshan and only revealed it to his son, after the results came out.

“Initially, I was very nervous to do a main character which has everybody’s attention,” he says. “But I believe I did my best and it gave me a lot of confidence.
