After a long break, Parvarthi who was out of action for a while has finally bagged the movie she wanted, Andar Bahar.
Her absence has been just too long.
It has been almost two years to since Parvathi's last outing on screen with Prithvi opposite Puneeth Rajkumar.
"I voluntarily went jobless. Now, I am more focused and calm than before," says Parvathi.
"In between I did have a Malayalam film City of God, which released in 2011," she adds.
The film Andar Bahar with Shivarajkumar in the lead is about the multiple faces of human personality portrayed in an entertaining manner.
"The content was good and with Hattrick hero in the film, it was an added bonus," says Parvathi, who is floored by the Shivarajkumar's energy on the sets.
"I always saw him jumping around. He is someone who really understands commercial cinema," she says.
Now back with her magic, she seems to be getting spicy.
"I have told every director whom I am meeting now that I want to get a little raunchy on screen as I am getting saturated playing the goodie characters.
I am looking for something spicy in a methodical manner," says the actress, who doesn't want to stick to the same image.
"Often, audience like to see their stars keep up the same image from the very first film.
They don't want them to change, but I would want to try different variations in each roles," she says.
As she makes a comeback in Kannada industry, she will also be hogging the limelight in Kollywood with two films.
"I will be in the remake of the Malayalam film, Traffic in Tamil.
But before that I will be starting Bharat Bala's Mariyaan opposite Dhanush," says Parvarthy, who considers Dhanush a better co-actor than a star.
"I have heard that director Bharat is quite a visionary and with AR Rahman doing the music, I am hoping for the best .
As for Dhanush, for every one he is a star but I am interested in his work.
It is easy to work with a star but it is not common to get a good co-actor.
A lot can be improvised on the sets if you work opposite a proper actor," she explains.
The actress, all of 25 years, is known best for her film, Milana in Kannada and today she is quite content with the offers though it was not the same last year.
"I was just four films old when I took a break for my studies. At one point, I was under the impression that I will never get back on screen again as I felt it is not going to work for me and I should look for another option though I knew only about cinema.
But my belief paid off with some good films in my kitty. In one way it was good that I took a break and got time to think Now I am selfish about my roles. I am not here to just stay in the limelight. I want people to remember me for my job," she concludes.
