To mark its 50th anniversary, Konkani Association of Hyderabad is organising a musical show featuring Padma Shri Anup Jalota,according to Mohan Hemmadi, president of the Konkani association. A part of the total funds collected through this program will be given to Centre for Autism in Bollaram and other institutions focusing on senior citizen welfare. Konkani association Hyderabad is a non-profit foundation established in 1964 to provide a common platform for Konkani speaking people in the city to keep their language and culture alive. “This year we want to go beyond our community and want to support institutions working with Autism children and senior citizens,” said Deepak Kumta, secretary of the association.
