Actor Arnold Schwarzenegger is set to reprise his role of Conan the Barbarian in "The Legend of Conan".
"I always loved the Conan character and I'm honoured to be asked to step into the role once again. I can't wait to work with Universal Pictures and the great team of [producers] Fredrik Malmberg and Chris Morgan to develop the next step of this truly epic story," Schwarzenegger told Deadline.com in a statement.
The 1982 film "Conan the Barbarian" had launched Schwarzenegger's acting career. He later played the vengeful hero in 1984's "Conan the Destroyer".
"The original ended with Arnold on the throne as a seasoned warrior, and this is the take of the film we will make," producer Fredrik Malmberg said.
