JOHANNESBURG: Nicki Minaj went on with her concert in Angola despite of protests from the Human Rights Foundation charity.
The 33-year-old rapper headlined a Christmas festival in the capital of Luanda on December 19 and titled her show Unitel Boas Festas, reports News24.com.
After the concert, the ‘Anaconda’ hit-maker took to her Instagram and posted a photo wherein she is seen wrapped in Angola’s national flag. She captioned the pic, “Reppin the flag on my back. ANGOLA I LOVE UUUUUUUUUUUUU. THANK UUUUUUUU!!!!!!!! Muuuuaaahhhhhhh!!!!!!!”
Along with the pic, Minaj also uploaded videos showing the packed out stadium, one of them was captioned “ANGOLA HAS MY HEART.”
The news comes after Thor Halvorssen, the head of the Human Rights Foundation, pleaded with the singer to cancel the concert.
