In a recent interview with the Shortlist magazine, it came to light that Leonardo DiCaprio was approached by George Lucas a decade earlier, to play the role of Anakin Skywalker in the "Star Wars" prequel, but DiCaprio declined the offer.
“I did have a meeting with George Lucas about that, yes,” DiCaprio said. “[I] just didn't feel ready to take that dive. At that point.”
He was approached by Joel Schumacher for Robin's role in "Batman Forever", also for which the actor claims he was not ready for.
DiCaprio started his acting career in 1991 with "Critters 3". He proved himself as an able actor in "This Boy's Life" and "What's Eating Gilbert Grape" as a boy in roles alongside Robert De Niro and Johnny Depp, respectively.
In his twenties, he became even more popular with his roles in "Romeo Juliet" and "Titanic".
Leonardo DiCaprio's latest "The Revenant" is all set for a worldwide release on January 8, 2016.
