That the “Piku” family gets along very well off-screen is well-known. In fact, Deepika Padukone calls Amitabh Bachchan “Baba” (or father, which he plays in the film to her) and Amitabh Bachchan acts like a typical father.

During the shoot of the film, for a scene wherein Padukone was required to fill out details while checking into a guest house, her Baba walked up to her and openly teased her about the way she wrote. Bachchan went on to demonstrate and explain the correct way to write.
