Rahul Rawail, the director is known for movies like, 'Love Story' (1981), 'Jo Bole So Nihal' (2005) and 'Anjaam' (1994). The director has recently trolled Imran Khan, the chocolate boy of Bollywood, calling him 'Mentally Challenged'.
The tiff between the director and the actor started after Imran made a statement while giving an interview to a Mumbai based tabloid, 'Is Rahul Rawail still around?', in response to a question thrown at him regarding Rahul's involvement in creating problems between Imran and Ranbir in earlier years.
Imran is married to Avantika, who was the ex-girlfriend of Ranbir Kapoor. Avantika had made a strong negative remark during the screenings of 'Rajneeti', Ranbir's movie.
The relationship between Ranbir and Imran soured after that incident.
Rahul has launched many actors and actresses like, Kumar Gaurav and Vijeta Pandit in 'Love Story', Kajol in 'Bekhudi' and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in 'Aur Pyar Ho Gaya'. Rahul's nephew Rajat, who took part in Big Boss 7 and also played the role of Tsunami Singh in Salman Khan's 'Bodyguard' took a dig in the matter and wrote on social media, 'Imraan Khan needs a reality check.
It was Mr. Aamir Khan who went from pillar to post promoting “Jaane Tu…” and his goodwill and credibility got the audience into the theaters. Imraan Khan’s claim to fame is “Once upon a time 2″ [he ruined the brand franchise built by the stellar performance of Ajay Sir] & “Gori Tere Pyaar Main” which happens to be a landmark disaster in all senses in the solid dharma productions library. Both these above mentioned films are appx loss estimated of Rs 50cr+ to the producers/financiers/distributors.
