Salman Khan Meets Up With 16 Amsterdam-bound Slum Kids in Karjat

MUMBAI — At short notice, Salman Khan, whose love for children is legendary, met 16 youngsters from the slums and streets of various Indian cities. These children are representing India at the 2015 Homeless World Cup in Amsterdam that starts in the middle of the month and were scheduled to depart the next day.

Khan hardly needed any convincing before he agreed to meet them the day before. He called them to Karjat, where he was shooting, and treated them to lunch. He then entertained them with his jokes and talked about his struggling days in the film industry. The eight boys and eight girls left India a motivated and happy lot.

No wonder children — along with so many adults of all ages — adore Salman Khan.
