These days, every other actor exercises his or her singing prowess, not only in films but also in the non-film world of music singles. Actors like Ayushman Khurrana, Priyanka Chopra and Sonakshi Sinha have already cut singles; so one is surprised that Farhan Akhtar, who is already acknowledged as a good singer and who holds musical concerts, has not released a music single yet.  But Farhan reveals that this is likely to change.

Asked if he has any plans for a music single or an album, he says, “I think that’s immensely possible because there is a lot of new material that I have already worked on which is completely independent of any film. These are my thoughts, my poetry and I feel quite ready to share it with the world.”

The actor reveals, “Hopefully, once the Rock On shooting is done, I will take some time off, move into a studio and produce some non-film music.” Farhan reasons, “It needs time; it can’t be done lightly. Music is something you want to sit back and listen to. It’s the first time I’m going to produce so I want to make sure I listen to it enough and decide if I want to do it differently. I want time and space to be able to do that so I will take two-three months time off to do so.”
