Before he became a star with Ishq Vishq, Shahid Kapoor had acted in a popular music video ‘Aankhon mein tera hi chehra’ by the group Aryans. Actress Hrishita Bhatt (Asoka, Shararat and the recent Junooniyat) who co-stared with him in the video, remembers the young Shahid.

What are your memories of working with Shahid while working on the video?

We were friends and used to study together in college. We just landed up being in a video. Both were selected separately. We were like 16 or 17 something at that time, I don’t even remember. But it was really fun,

Did you think that Shahid would become a major star one day?

After the video came out, people were in love with the dog! We looked at each other and thought, ‘What?’ (laughs).

Neither did he think that I would be an actor and nor did I. In fact, when I did my first film Asoka everybody, including he, was shocked. And when he did his first film, I was shocked as well.

How do you look back on those days?

It was a good experience; we knew each other very well. I would like to do a film with him ... hopefully soon.
