NEW DELHI: Filmmaker Sanjay Gupta has refuted the rumours doing the rounds that release date of his upcoming film ‘Kaabil’ has been postponed.

Sanjay, 46, took to his Twitter handle to rubbish the rumours and confirmed that the Hrithik Roshan starrer ‘Kaabil’ would hit theatres on January 26, 2017, as scheduled earlier.

He tweeted, “Dear All KAABIL releases on Jan 26, 2017. Absolutely no change in date. Hope this clears all unnecessary rumours.Warm regards.”

Speculations regarding the change in ‘Kaabil’s release date started when SRK recently told media, “We are in talks with Rakesh ji and Hrithik. Ritesh Sidhwani, Farhan Akhtar and I will talk to them once they are back and then discuss it out.”

Starring Yami Gautam in lead role, 'Kaabil' would clash with SRK’s highly-awaited film ‘Raees’ at the box-office.
