Amidst speculation that actress Rakul Preet will replace Shruti Haasan in Pawan Kalyan’s next, the film’s producer Sharrath Marar has confirmed that Shruti Haasan is the female lead and that shooting will commence next month.
Taking to Twitter, Marar confirmed that the film is well on course and put to rest all speculation surrounding the female lead.
“#PSPK #PawanKalyan starrer with Shruti Haasan as the heroine to commence shoot in August. Director Dolly team busy with pre production work (sic),” Marar posted on Twitter.
Even in its nascent stage, the film has been plagued with controversy.
Khushi director SJ Suryah was all set to direct the powerstar but was replaced by Dolly after he decided to take up the role of an antagonist in Mahesh Babu’s upcoming project.
