Hunky Gurmeet Choudhary moved from TV to films with Mahesh Bhatt’s Khamoshiyan (2015) but the film didn’t make much of splash. The actor has now surprised many with his second film -- the erotic thriller Wajah Tum Ho in which he has done intimate scenes with his leading lady, Sana Khan. The much-married Gurmeet talks of his wife’s (TV actress Debina Bonnerjee) reaction to his onscreen intimacy.
Ask the actor about his wife’s reaction to the steamy scenes between Sana and him in the trailer of Wajah Tum Ho, and Gurmeet says, “I thought I would be bashed! After the trailer got released it was the talk of the town but when I showed the promo to Debina, she said Gurmeet, ‘This film is a hit.’ When you get to know this from your wife, it feels great.”
Confident about the film, which is directed by Vishal Pandya who had earlier helmed the successful Hate Story 2 and 3, Gurmeet adds, “I am doing something different and I would like to thank Vishal Pandya.”
Gurmeet indicates that having an actress for a wife serves as major advantage for him. He laughs, “Whenever I get a script I show it to her. I ask her whether I should I do this or not and if she says yes, I do it.” But, on a serious note he says he considers himself really lucky to be married to Debina as she is from the same industry. He reasons, “It gets difficult to make your partner understand but we are together from many years and we share an excellent understanding.”
